After the success of the Adelaide event, LIV Golf is back for another week of golfing action in Singapore. With a massive prize purse on offer, fans will be eager to find out who will claim the top spot at Sentosa Golf Club. The tournament will feature a number of top players, including Talor Gooch and Brooks Koepka. But who will take home the trophy? Read on to discover all the details.

The Harvard Prize Book is intended to inspire students in Singapore with the idea that Harvard is an attainable institution of higher learning and to connect them to the Harvard community in Singapore (not just Harvard alumni, but also those who live or work in the country). The recipient of the prize will be someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to perform acts of kindness and caring and has influenced others to do the same.

This year’s third annual awards ceremony of Prince William’s Earthshot Prize is heading to Singapore. The award show follows events in London in 2021 and Boston last year, and will see five winners awarded PS1 million to scale their environmental solutions. The event will also feature performances from musicians and artists.

The award show will be accompanied by a series of events known as Earthshot Week. The aim is to mobilise the public and businesses, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia, which is one of the most severely affected regions by climate change.

Standard Chartered is joining forces with the prize as its Founding Partner, alongside philanthropic organisation Temasek Trust, investment company Temasek Holdings, decarbonisation investment platform GenZero and Conservation International. The partnership will support the work of the prize by catalysing engagement with the winners and finalists, and reaching new audiences around the world.

In addition to the prize money, the winner will be able to use the technology developed by the team to build structures using only solar energy. The structure uses a modular construction system consisting of 216 bars, each with different lengths and sections, and 54 bespoke nodes. The customised parts make it easier to configure and distribute the material, reducing overall material wastage.

The final decision on who will win the prize will be announced at the ceremony in November. In the meantime, fans can keep up to date on all the latest news by following @EarthshotPrize on Twitter and Instagram, or on Facebook. You can also sign up to the Earthshot newsletter to be among the first to know about new developments. This is a free service and can be accessed from any device with internet access. The prize will be presented by the founders of the event and the winner will receive a specially designed award statuette, as well as an exclusive gift pack from Harvard University Press. The winner will be announced at a special gala dinner in Singapore on November 8. The deadline for nominations is October 30, 2017. Nominees must be Harvard alumni or have a strong connection with the university.
